About Me
I am a wife and a mom to 3 babies. In the past 10 years we have lived in Connecticut, England, Texas and now Virginia. I bought my first DSLR camera (Canon 40D) when we found out we were pregnant with our first baby, 8 years ago. Before all that I received my Bachelors in Marketing from Virginia Tech.
My kids are now 7, 6 and 14 months. Our oldest, Logan was born with a rare gene mutation which is linked with intellectual disability and has left him swept under the Autism and ADHD umbrellas. He is incredibly handsome and loves to laugh.
Our middle child, Reagan is our wise & caring soul. She is such a big helper with her older brother and her little sister - everyday she astonishes me. She literally is a every bit of sugar & spice and everything nice.
Our oldest two are just 16 months apart. Then came our littlest, Lucy. She is crazy about her brother and sister, loves to eat & dance and is our most chill baby - as I've heard 3rd babies are.
The man behind all of this, my husband of 9 years is, Kevin. We started dating in 2000 & married in 2008. He is my best friend & has been my biggest source of encouragement in this little photography gig I'm trying out.
I have always enjoyed documenting my life, our travels and our family - you can check out my two family blogs: Cheers! (documenting our life while living in England) and/or Hawks Nest (documenting our life since the day we found out we were pregnant with our first baby). Taking pictures and writing our story has always been the way I remember the good stuff & work through the tough stuff. Nowadays I find myself taking more pictures and writing less words - life is busy and there isn't always time to sit down and write. But there is always time for pictures. Always.
My favorite type of pictures are the ones of all the in-between moments that don't necessarily involve everyone looking at the camera or the pictures that capture all the little details that are otherwise forgotten Candid, lifestyle pictures - that's where it's at - that's what real life looks like & I want to be the one to help capture your life one photograph at a time.
Turning my passion into a profession is a new adventure & I'm excited to share my journey. I am laid back and easy going and there is a good chance I will make you laugh. Which just so happens to be exactly how I envision our shoots being - relaxed & enjoyable. Please take a look around at some of my work by clicking the tabs at the top of the blog.
I look forward to hearing from you,
